Hello every one
I have bad news, sadly Steve Sargison has passed away.
He has had cancer for the last 9 months. Steve died at home in Turkey.
Our condolences go to his wife Heather.
Steve was a man that had achieved many things in his life. Least of all for a lad from the back streets of Sheffield to become a master mariner, was no mean achievement.
I personally had a lot of time for Steve, as I am sure you all did.
We will all have some very nice memories of times spent with Steve and Heather on and off the water.
Steve always made me smile and that’s an achievement in its self.
His memory will live on with the boat that was named after him 2 years ago
GOOD BYE OLD FRIEND

Congratulations to Sean Waine, age 10, for gaining promotion to Div 2 by achieving 1st place, 5 seconds clear of his nearest rival, in the Men’s K1 Div 3 Slalom event at Sowerby Bridge on 16th October. This is an excellent result, particularly for someone of Sean’s age, because at this level he has been competing directly against teenagers and adults who all have a good set of paddling skills, and have one sole aim - Div 2! Well done Sean!
